Dr. Frederick Rollins' Obituary
Dr. Frederick Rollins, age 87, passed away on Friday, October 1, 2021, at the Poppen Residence. He was born on April 7, 1934, to Frank and Miriam (Rightmire) Rollins in Chicago, IL. Dr. Rollins attended Kirksville College of Osteopathy, the world’s first Osteopathic medical school. He was known as a pioneer of DO’s in Western Michigan when he began his private practice in 1958. He was an avid outdoorsman earlier in life growing up in the Upper Peninsula and later became an avid sailor. He spent much of his down time sailing and listening to Dixie Land. He was known to have a great sense of humor and lived a very fulfilling life. Fredrick is survived by his sons, Timothy Robert (Claudette) Rollins, and Dr. William F. (Cheryl) Rollins; grandchildren, Tanner R. Rollins and Lauren L. Rollins; sister, Frankie Nabor. He was preceded in death by his parents and spouse, Ila Rose Rollins.
