Frederick P. Tascone's Obituary
Frederick Patrick Tascone, age 94, passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021. He was born on March 8, 1927, to Francis and Susan (Iaconis) Tascone in Geneva, New York. Fred proudly served in the United States Army during World War II. During his work life he had a long and successful career in the radio business. Fred was an active member of St. Patrick – St. Anthony’s Catholic Parish Church in Grand Haven. Fred and his wife, Sandra, owned and operated the Frosty Oasis for 14 years. He enjoyed volunteering at the Muskegon Civic Theater making props and with various charities throughout the years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Tascone; children, Stephanie (Sam) Oddo, Mark (Michele) Tascone, James Tascone, Thomas Tascone; stepdaughter, Kristin (Larry) Alderink; ten grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Elaine; siblings, Joe, Frank, Rose, Marie; and stepson, Steven Lahnala.
A MEMORIAL MASS for Fred will take place on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at 11:00 AM at the St. Patrick – St. Anthony’s Catholic Parish Church (920 Fulton St. Grand Haven, MI 49417) with visitation one hour prior to the service at church. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. For a more lasting memory, donations in Fred’s name can be made out to St. Patrick – St. Anthony’s Catholic Parish Church or Heartwood Lodge Hospice.
