Fredrick Harris Bey's Obituary
Fredrick Harris Bey, age 68, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2020 in Muskegon. He was born on April 29, 1952 to Andrew and Matti (Flemings) Williams in Muskegon. Fredrick worked as an orderly for Mercy Hospital for many years and then moved to Brookhaven Medical Facility before retiring. He was a longtime member of Bethany Christian Reformed Church where he served as a deacon; Youth Lions Program and Sacred Suds – Community enCompass in Muskegon. Fred enjoyed movies, going out to eat, and spending time with his family. SURVIVORS include 6 children, Kevin Thomas, Kanya Williams, Fredricka Williams, Fatianna Harris, Sirrah Bey and Keafa Willis; 18 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; 6 brothers; James Harris, Ernest Upchurch, Ruffus Harris, Paul Burhridge, Jimmy Harris, Andrew Harris, Gilbert Harris; girlfriend, Kathy Curry and her daughter, Arisha (Andre) Coffee as well as special friends, Gary and Beth Post and Rita Hannah. Preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Joyce McRea, Beverly Burns and brother, Ernest Upchurch. A Outdoor Memorial Service will be held for Fred 10:30 AM Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Bethany Church (1105 Terrace St.) for immediate family and friends including Bethany Church members with Pastor Tara Foreman officiating.
