I had many good memories with gail.
I met sweet Gail when her family moved to Grand Rapids. We might have been in third or forth grade. I remember telling my mom that I had met a new girl at school and wanted to be her friend. Gail was so smart, happy, daffy, open minded, loyal and loving.
We were a group of four girlfriends, Gail, Sheila, Beth and I. We grew up through school, holidays, drivers education, graduations, career changes, lovers and marriages.
Every time I walk through a thunderstorm, weed my garden or adopt another rescue dog I will feel Gail smiling over my shoulder.
She will live on in all of our hearts.

Gail had an adventuresome spirit and infectious humor. I first met her my senior year in college when we both took the same classes at the Biological Station and we've been fast friends every since...for over 35 years. She was an original and lovely person and her loss leaves a hole in my heart.
Many of my travel memories are with Gail - we went to the bottom of the Grand Canyon together and up to the snow-line in the Tetons to camp. We went all over Michigan, up into the Upper Penisula and along the Great Lakes, looking and photographing nature.
She showed me how to weave sweet-grass, what the local diatoms look like, and gave me some of the liverwort that she found growing in a small damp area of the lawn outside her condo (Gail studied bryophyte plants). I still have it. I miss her. Cindy Bartels

Had the privilege of knowing and loving Gail since she moved into her condo. She adored her impetuous Buffy and we often talked when she was walking Buffy.
Even though Gail had to endure the disabilities brought on by MS, never once did I hear her complain or appear to feel sorry for herself. Once in awhile she would say, "It is what it is." Her beautiful smile will long be remembered.
God sends special friends into our lives and I am so thankful to have Gail to remember as my friend.

My dearest Gail I meet 10 years ago when she moved into Lilley pointe Condos we became instant friends. she was the warmest kindest person I ever meet. She was a great person. with a good attitude.
