Gail A. Pike's Obituary
Gail A. Pike, age 81, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at home surrounded by family. She was born on October 2, 1944, in Muskegon to Howard and Marjorie (Lowe) Sutton. Gail graduated from Muskegon High School in 1962 and soon after married her high school sweetheart, Philip D. Pike, at Wolf Lake United Methodist Church. She devoted more than 30 years to serving as a teacher’s aide in several local schools, where she touched the lives of countless children. Gail had a special love for children and animals and treasured meeting her close high school friends to stay connected. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Gail is survived by her husband, Phil; two children, Donald (Maria) Pike and Angela Stadel; two grandchildren, Breanna and Steven Stadel; brother, Howard “Wayne” Sutton; sister-in-law, Sue (Dave) Gage; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law, Marva Sutton. A Memorial Gathering for Gail will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 737 Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442 (231) 726-5210.
