Gale A. Guiles' Obituary
Gale A. Guiles, age 67, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 1, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 28, 1957, in Muskegon, Michigan, to Clayton and Helen (Bayne) Davey, and was a lifelong resident of the area. She graduated from Ravenna High School with the Class of 1975 and spent many years working as a waitress at Kenny’s Sandwich Shop, where she was known for her warm smile and strong work ethic. On July 12, 2004, she married Ralph Guiles Sr. in Muskegon. Together, they shared 30 joyful years filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Gale had a zest for life and was an active member of her community. She participated in several leagues, including a women’s billiards league and the beloved “Koffee Klutchers” bowling team. She was an avid reader, especially fond of Nora Roberts novels, and enjoyed puzzles that challenged her mind. A frequent visitor to local casinos, she loved trying her luck and embracing the excitement of the moment. More than anything, Gale treasured the time spent with her family and friends. Her bold, spirited personality and genuine nature left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She was true to herself, and her vibrant presence will be deeply missed by many. She is survived by her son, Steven (Jennifer Haight) Lambert; daughter, Nicole (Jarrett) Cunningham; five stepchildren, Ralph “Dean” (Tammy) Guiles Jr., Jeff (Cathy) Guiles, Mark Guiles, Angel Martin and Sabrina Guiles; seven grandchildren, Josh, Rachel, Emily, Hunter, Alissa, Jeffery Jr and Jessica; brother, Randy (Cheryl) Davey; sister, Pam (Jim) Moureau; and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph Guiles Sr.; granddaughter, Bonnie Jean; two brothers, Ricky Davey and Dale Davey; and two sisters, Vicki Moureau and Diane Davey. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI, 49444 with visitation one-hour prior. Memorial Contributions in Gale’s honor can be directed to Harbor Hospice.
