Gary L. Archambault's Obituary
Gary Lee Archambault, age 66, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 22, 2025, in Rothbury, MI. Gary was born on August 18, 1958, in Muskegon, MI, to Richard and Delores (Arent) Archambault. He graduated from Oakridge High School and lived his whole life in the Muskegon area. On October 20, 1979, he married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, the former Peggy Rinehart, and they enjoyed 45 wonderful years building their family together. He worked for many years as an owner and operator of Shoreline Services Pest and Wildlife before retiring in 2020.
Gary was a family man to the core. He was a loving husband and a supportive father and grandfather. He loved watching his grandchildren’s many sporting events and activities. He was very proud of his family and was always a dependable source of valuable advice and great hugs. He was extremely social and could make conversation with anyone, and his infectious laugh and warm smile would brighten the day of all who spent time with him. He was a lifelong fan of Tigers Baseball and Lions Football and listening to Rock n’ Roll. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing golf with his Thursday night travel league. One of his greatest sources of joy was spending time with Peggy in their Jeep, travelling all over the U.S. and going on many adventures and exploring many new places together over the years.
Gary will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Peggy Archambault; mother, Delores LeBaron; five children: Chevonne (Gregory) Robbins, Sarah (Jim) Merrill, Shelby (Ken) Klinger, Clay (Crystal) Archambault, and Abigail (Tim) Ruffer; ten grandchildren: Daniel, Nathan, Peyton, Kamron, Jarrett, Lauren, Brody, Paige, Lillian, and Avalene; two siblings: Randy (Cathy) Archambault and Cindy Bowen; mother in-law, Nancy Rinehart; brother in-law, Charles (Bambi) Rinehart; and many nieces, nephews, and other friends and extended relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Archambault; stepfather, William LeBaron; and father in-law, Pete Rinehart.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be taking place for Gary at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI, 49444.
