Mr. Gary A. Curtis' Obituary
Mr. Gary A. Curtis, 79, passed away December 10, 2020, in Muskegon, after a short illness. He was born October 4, 1941 in Hart, MI to Roland and Cleo “Pat” (Massena) Curtis and moved to the Muskegon area when he was a child. He and his wife Barb lived in Las Vegas for 17 years, where he loved showing family and friends around when they visited. They just moved back to Muskegon earlier this year. Gary was a U.S. Army veteran and had worked as a logistics manager for Westran Trucking before retiring. After retirement he enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his grandchildren. On May 25, 1991 Gary married his wife Barbara Fiet. He is survived by his wife Barb; his sisters: Kay (Curtis) Mitchell and Janet (Curtis) Furman; his children: Darleen Curtis, Burl (Julie Anderson) Curtis, Jack (Vickie Essenberg) Curtis, Debbie Sue Curtis, Gary (Lori-Ann Bennett) Curtis, Jr.; his grandchildren: Lee Curtis, Blane (Andrea Schiller) Curtis, Zachary (Anna Wiegand) Curtis, Jessica Curtis, Austin Curtis, Jared Curtis, Kristen (Matt) Gravelle, Brian Curtis, Traci (Christopher) Nosko, Henley Curtis, Levi Curtis and Molly Curtis; his great-grandchildren: Nevaeh Cruz, Mayci and Emslie Curtis, Penny Curtis, JaeLynne Zmarly-Curtis and Zachary Nosko; many nieces and nephews; and many friends. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Colleen (Curtis) Berry, and his granddaughter Amanda Marie Curtis. Due to current restrictions, a memorial service will be planned in the future.
