Mr. Gary R. Gerrans' Obituary
Gary R. Gerrans, age 72, passed away January 29, 2020 at home. He was born on December 19, 1947 to Charles and Beverly (Townsend) Gerrans in Muskegon. Gary served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. Prior to his retirement in 2009, Gary worked 37 years at Sappi. He was a member of both the Lakeside Eagles and Lakeside Veteran’s Club. Gary enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a “lifelong” member of Marine Tap. On May 24, 1980 he married Barbara Taylor and she survives him along with his son, Jeremy Gerrans and special daughter, Lori Mann; 2 grandchildren, Morgan Gerrans and Jaxon Mann; brother, David Gerrans and sisters, Julie (Gordon) Bates, Kaye Fitzgerald; special friends, Scott “Scooter” Counselor and Craig Harpster along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant grandson, Joseph Gerrans and father-in-law, Curly Taylor. A CELEBRATION OF LIFE for Gary will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at the Lakeside Eagles (2355 Sherman Blvd.) from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.
