Gary J. Leeball's Obituary
Mr. Gary J. Leeball, 77, passed away February 29, 2024, in Beaverton, MI. He was born August 20, 1946, to Alfred and Mary (Belanger) Leeball in Linden (Genesee County), Michigan. Gary worked at Muskegon Piston Ring for 18 years, then IMC Agrico in Mulberry, Florida for 10 years, before returning to Muskegon, where he retired. He was also on the Egelston Township Volunteer Fire Department for 18 years and was an E4 Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy. Survivors include his wife, Diane “Abbie” Leeball, one brother, Alfred Leeball, sisters, Deed Bouge, Norma Calif, and Diane Seabolt; his children and spouses, Dawn (Thomas) Lathrop, Shelly (Frank) Bryant, Gary M. (Pamela) Leeball; step-children, Ysmael DeLeon, Catrina DeLeon, Sylvia and Johnny Pruitt; ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. The funeral service for Mr. Leeball will be Thursday, March 7, 2024, at 11:00 AM at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM, also at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Egelston Township Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Mr. Leeball may be made to the American Cancer Society.
