Gary L. Vanderstelt's Obituary
Gary L. Vanderstelt, age 34, died as the result of a car accident in Newaygo County on Monday, January 7, 2019. He was born June 27, 1984 in Muskegon to Bradley J. and Mary A. (Robinson) Vanderstelt. Gary earned his Bachelor of Business Hospitality at Michigan State University and worked the past 9 years as a department manager for Menards. He was a fan of MSU basketball and football. Gary also enjoyed bowling, hunting and fishing, but especially riding his Harley-Davidson Motorcycle. He was a member of the Muskegon Eagles. SURVIVORS include his parents, Mary (Rodney) Rowe and Bradley J. Vanderstelt; his brothers, Trent (Amber) Vanderstelt, David Vanderstelt; his sister, Kari (Chad) Bentley; his nephews and nieces, William, Kathryn, Cameron and Madison; his grandfather, Lyle E. (Edy) Robinson; his aunts and uncles, Jimmy Robinson, Sharon and Jesse Alviar, Bobby and Vicki Robinson, Paul and Kathi Robinson, Jean and Mark Swain, Kathryn and Mike Leighton, Murray Vanderstelt, Kathy and Kevin Craig, and Steve Vanderstelt. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joan Robinson, Gerrit and Mary Vanderstelt; and 1 uncle, Steve Robinson. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, January 12, 2019 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100 with Rev. John H. Brown officiating.
