Gary W. Moore's Obituary
Mr. Gary W. Moore, age 60, passed away Monday morning, March 3, 2008. He was born August 7, 1947 in Traverse City, MI to Neil and Edith (Coletta) Moore and had resided in Muskegon most of his life. Gary was a 1966 graduate of Muskegon High School. He worked for Howmet Corporation for 37 years and was a member of St. Francis deSales Catholic Church. Gary was an avid gardener, fisherman, and hunter. He enjoyed traveling, NASCAR, participating in car shows, art and photography, and as a younger man, drag racing. On June 11, 1971, he married the former Susan Tindall in Muskegon and she survives him along with 3 children, Christopher Moore, Melissa Moore, Matthew Moore all of Muskegon; mother, Edith Moore of Muskegon; 2 brothers, Andy and Jim Moore of Luther, MI; 1 step-sister; 3 step-brothers; brother-in-law, Thomas (Betty) Tindall; sister-in-law, Marge (Louis) Collins; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Neil Moore; his uncle, Louis Moore; and 2 step-brothers, Frankie and Fred Moore. THE FUNERAL LITURGY will be celebrated 11:00 AM Friday at St. Francis deSales Catholic Church – Marian Chapel with the Rev. Fr. Julian Reginato presiding. VISITATION will be from 6-8 PM Thursday at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. (231) 759-8565. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. MEMORIALS to the American Red Cross, Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence, or the American Cancer Society will be appreciated.
