Gayle E. Harr's Obituary
Gayle E. Harr, age 74, of Ferrysburg passed away Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Heartwood Lodge. She was born on October 30, 1941 in Lansing, MI to Russell and Ruth (Carey) Mills.
Gayle was a member of Turning Point Church in Norton Shores. She enjoyed volunteering both at church, and for Heartwood Lodge where she could spend time and talk with people.
On June 18, 1960 she married Lloyd Harr in Lansing, MI and he preceded her in death on February 12, 2006.
Gayle is survived by three children: son, Gregory Harr of Spring Lake and his children, Alicia (Brad) Gibbons and Nick Harr; daughter, Brenda Harr of Spring Lake and her children, Lindsay (Mark) Boone, and Karli Nienhouse; and daughter, Cindy (Tony) Neeson of Hastings, MI and their children, Trevor, Reagan and Caden; 6 great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Helen Harr of Lansing; brother, Galen (Christine) Mills of Myrtle Beach, SC; and sister-in-law, Donna Christian of Lansing. Gayle was also preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law, Christian Harr; and brother-in-law, Glen Harr.
A Memorial Service will be 2 PM Thursday at Turning Point Church (1253 E. Hile Rd. Norton Shores 49441) with Rev. Kevin McCormick officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, from 1-2 PM at church. Memorial Contributions in memory of Gayle may be given to the American Heart Association.
