Genevieve A. "Gene" Mauseth's Obituary
Mrs. Genevieve A. “Gene” Mauseth, age 93, passed away Monday, October 31, 2016, at her daughter’s home in Hancock, Michigan. She was born on January 3, 1923 in Hazelton, PA to Joseph and Blanche (Barnowski) Weingate and lived most of her life in the Muskegon area. Gene married Theodore J. Mauseth in Grand Rapids, Michigan on April 17, 1943 and he preceded her in death in 1978. She had worked at Goodwill And VG Tours in Muskegon for many years and had also owned Genies Estate Sales for many years. Gene was an avid gardner and loved to travel. She also enjoyed card games, cooking and reading, but foremost was always her family and friends. SURVIVORS include her children, Ted (Lynn) Mauseth and Genine (Dave) Pleimling; grandchildren, Ted, Jim and Mary; and also 4 great-grandchildren; sisters, Janice (Keith) Buhler and Virginia (John) Weingate; and many loving nieces and nephews. Genevieve was also preceded in death by her 2 brothers and a sister. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231)798-1100.
