Genevieve Valk's Obituary
Mrs. Genevieve A. Valk, age 88, passed away Friday afternoon, February 20, 2004 in Muskegon. She was born July 24, 1915 in Perry, NY, and lived in the Muskegon area for many years. She was a member of St. Francis deSales Catholic Church. The former Genevieve Siembida was married to Daniel R. Valk. He preceded her in death on June 30, 1988. SURVIVORS include 2 children, Michael Valk of Muskegon, Margaret (J.P.) Moll of Ada; several grand and great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Helen Batts of Grand Rapids. She was also preceded in death by twin-sisters, Wanda Bradford and Stella Beckman; sister, Julia Daigle; brother, Stephen Siembida; nephew, Richard Thompson. THE FUNERAL LITURGY will be celebrated at 1:00 PM Tuesday at St. Francis deSales Catholic Church, Marian Chapel, with the Rev. Fr. Julian Reginato presiding. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery. VISITATION will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, please consider Hospice of Muskegon-Oceana, or the charity of your choice.
