Genevieve V. "Gen" Flora's Obituary
Mrs. Genevieve V. “Gen” Flora, age 91, passed away Tuesday morning, August 16, 2005 in Muskegon. She was born December 1, 1913 to Charles and Anna (Costable) Perri in Cozensa, Italy, and came to this area as a small child. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, enjoyed gardening, flowers, houseplants, and spending time with friends and family. She married John M. Flora, Jr. on September 7, 1940 in Muskegon. SURVIVORS include her husband John; 2 children, Gloria (Norris) Pipkins, Larry (Peggy) Flora, both of Muskegon; 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Alfred Perri of N. Muskegon, William Perri of Muskegon; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by Rose Perri, Robert Perri, Henry Perri, and Louis Perri. THE FUNERAL LITURGY will be celebrated at 1:00 PM Saturday at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, with the Rev. Fr. Michael Olson presiding. Entombment will take place at St. Marys Cemetery Mausoleum. VISITATION at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc.,1547 W. Sherman Blvd.,(231) 759-8565 will be from 6-8 PM Friday, with the Rosary prayed at 7:00 PM.
