Mr. George "Bill" W. Brown Jr.'s Obituary
George “Bill” W. Brown, Jr., age 84, passed away Friday, August 28, 2015. He was born March 19, 1931 in Loraine, Ohio to George and Ruth Brown (Kelble). George was a proud veteran of the United States Army and served his country in the Korean War. He spent many years serving the community while working as a social worker for Muskegon Child and Family Services. He brought joy to all of those who knew him with his smile and unique sense of humor. George is survived by his children, Lisa (A.J.) Bougher and Richard Brown; grandchildren, Victoria Stark, Dakota Butler Brown, Jesse Curtis; sister, Sally (Robert) Bermudes of Massachusetts; and 3 nephews and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Celebration of George's life will take place at Harbor Unitarian Universalist Congregation on September 20, 2015 at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family asks you to consider Muskegon's Harbor Hospice or the Wounded Warrior Project. Arrangements entrusted to The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231-798-1100).
