George M. Gzym's Obituary
George Michael Gzym, age 85, passed away Tuesday morning, July 19, 2016. He was born June 20, 1931 in Muskegon to Stanley and Helena (Grabowski) Gzym and had been a life resident of the area. Prior to his retirement, George had been employed at Browne Morse for 32 years and also Security Steel Craft for 14 years. He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. On January 7, 1956 he married the former Della G. Ruba in Ludington and she survives him along with his daughter, Darlene M. Rainbolt of Muskegon; granddaughter, April (Kenneth) Evans; great-grandson, Braedyn; special nephew, Steve Poe; and many other nieces and nephews; and a special foreign exchange student, Fred Berling of Sweden. George was preceded in death by his parents; 6 brothers: Michael, John, Nicholaus, Peter, Joseph, and William Gzym; and 4 sisters: Mary Gzym, Anna Poe, Josephine Cobb, and Helen Mangione. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be held 11:00 AM Friday, July 22, 2016 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Antony Britto presiding. VISITATION with George’s family will be from 6-8 PM Thursday, July 21, 2016 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100 and one hour prior to the service at the church.
