Mr. George Louis Hunt's Obituary
George Louis Hunt, age 68, passed away on March 20, 2017. George was born on November 26, 1948 to George P. and Phyllis Hunt. He attended Southern Illinois University and earned a Bachelors degree in journalism. George served his country proudly in the US Air Force and served 2 tours of duty in Vietnam. Early in life he worked for the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad. He moved to Grand Haven in 1990 and worked for Michigan Plastics. George married the former Karon Bolthouse in 1980. Together they enjoyed 37 years of marriage. George was a member of VFW post 3195. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching sports and reading. He was a loving, funny, simple family oriented man who will be deeply missed. George is survived by his wife Karon; children, Linda (Kevin) Small, Steve (Veronica) Teune, Craig (Donna) Teune, Ross (Dawn) Teune and Pam (Mike) Kelly; 12 grandchildren, Miranda, Colin, Chris, Nicolas, Micaela, Kayla, Wendy, Kendra, Connor, Kyle, Logan and Preston; his mother Phyllis Hunt; brother, Philip (Sandee) Hunt; sisters, Linda (Don) Berge, Mary (Rufus) Eskew and Barbara Hunt; sister-in-law, Sharon Schutter; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Shelly and Steve Foss and their children, Alexis, Cody, Zeb and Seth and also, Edward and Linda Zuidema, and Joe Gluszek. In keeping with his wishes cremation will take place and a private family celebration of life will be held. Memorial contributions can be made to Grand Haven Christian School.
