George M. Langlois' Obituary
George M. Langlois, age 73, passed away very unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at his home. He was born May 19, 1946 in Muskegon to Archie M. and Victoria M. (Bar) Langlois. George served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. On July 15, 1967, he married Phyllis Ann Scanlon in Muskegon and she preceded him in death on August 1, 2019. George worked for Bennett Pump Company for 20 years and later worked 20 years as a truck driver for February 14, Inc. and retired in 2014. George and Phyllis were long-time members of Central Assembly of God. George was an avid fisherman and a devoted Lion’s fan. He was very social and loved talking to people. He especially loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. George is survived by his son, Denny (Keri Smith) Langlois; 4 grandchildren, Jessika, Morgan, Christian, Sebastian; 3 great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Levi, Xavier; 12 siblings, Archie (Chum) Langlois, Norm (Linda) Langlois, Richard (Barb) Langlois, Donna (Bill) Walters, Mark (Claudia) Langlois, Phil Langlois, Mary (Ron) Estlick, Vickie Langlois, Tom (Paula) Langlois, Ted (Pam) Langlois, Mike (Kay) Langlois, Theresa (Terry) Dove; his in-laws, Linda Nadort, Daniel (Jobey) Scanlon, Jackie (Mike) Dykman, Colleen (Tom) Pace; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 5-7 PM Sunday, October 6, 2019 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI 49444. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, October 7, 2019 at Central Assembly of God (896 Home Street) with Pastor Wally Reames officiating.
