Mr. George S. Miller's Obituary
Mr. George S. Miller, age 88, passed away Friday morning, May 18, 2012 in Ludington. He was born October 24, 1923 in Muskegon to John and Anna (Kraynac) Miller. Mr. Miller was a WWII U.S. Navy Veteran and was a former member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. George worked as an electrician for the Brunswick Corporation for 32 years before retiring in 1986. He enjoyed working in his yard and was an avid reader, especially history. On April 23, 1955 he married the former Lorraine M. Nill in Muskegon and she preceded him in death on April 18, 2001. SURVIVORS include 3 children, Gary (Kathryn) Miller of Ludington, Greg Miller of Eaton Rapids, Gwen (John) Pienela of Naples, FL; 5 grandchildren, Natalie, Jessica, Steven, Christopher, Jonathon; sister, Margaret Petersen of Norton Shores; sister-in-law, Sue Beecham; and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a brother, John Miller and a sister, Mary Narasky. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Thomas J. Brown presiding. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in Norton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
