Mr. George Henry Pressler Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. George Henry Pressler Sr., age 89, passed away December 6, 2012. George was born in Noble County, Indiana on July 24, 1923 to Amos and Eva (Quinn) Pressler. On July 6, 1946 he married the former Betty G. Haines in Columbia City, Indiana and they enjoyed 66 years together. He worked at Teledyne Continental Motors for 30 years retiring in 1982. George is a veteran of the Navy Air Corps during WWII. He was a life member of VFW Post 446, life member of the Muskegon F.O.E. 668, former member of the Moose Lodge and a member of Fruitport Congregational Church. George enjoyed bowling, horseshoes, golf and fishing. He was also one of the founding members of Pine Park. George is SURVIVED by his wife, Betty; children, Pamela (Michael) Harrison, Susan (Gery) Pope, George (Susan) Pressler Jr., Cynthia Thoma, Gregory (Nancy) Pressler; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren. He was PRECEDED in death by his parents; brother, David Pressler; sisters, Sally, Luella, Ellen and Gerry. The FUNERAL service will be 11 AM Monday, December 10, 2012 at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. Norton Shores, MI 49444 (231) 798-1100 with Pastor Don Wood officiating. There will be VISITATION Sunday, December 9, 2012 from 2-5 PM at the Lee Chapel and 1 hour prior to the funeral.
