George J. Raap Jr.'s Obituary
George J. Raap Jr., age 68, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021. He was born October 20, 1952 in Muskegon to George and Annabell (Conran) Raap. George graduated from Oakridge High School. He worked as the buildings superintendent for the Muskegon County Museum for 33 years prior to his retirement in 2015. On May 5, 1972, he married the former Joan J. Keur in Muskegon. George enjoyed going to casinos and riding his motorcycle. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family. George is survived by his wife, Joan; 4 children: Bruce (Tracey) Raap, Adam (Devon) Raap, Nick (Trina) Raap, and Sarah Raap; 13 grandchildren: Saidee, Olivia, Adrianna, Blake, Seth, Lane, Ty, Tenley, Zack, Taylor, Kelsey, Lylli, and Ava; one great-granddaughter, Violet, and a great-grandson, Lane, due in April; brother, Marty (Kelly) Raap; 3 sisters: Audrie Raap, Debbie (Larry) Pratt, and Rose (Mark) Spoelman; loving mother-in-law, Dianetta; and many cherished nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister and brother-in-law, Marylou and Mike Hladki. According to George’s wishes, there will be no services.
