George Ripka's Obituary
George Ripka age 92 of Comstock Park, MI. died, Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Sanctuary at St. Mary’s in Comstock Park.
George was born on April 15, 1924 in Muskegon, Michigan to the late Emery and Eva (Kablick) Ripka. He was a dairy farmer most of his life. He married LaVange (Mansfield) Ripka and she preceded him in death on February 10, 2004. He loved his animals, fishing, hunting, bowling, dancing and woodworking. Later in life he worked on maintenance at a nursing home.
George is survived by his Sister in-law: Johanna Ripka, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Also a very special friend Priscilla “Pat†DiPiazza.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, LaVange Ripka, 3 Sisters: Eva Blackmer, Anna VanderJagt and Rosie Gates. 4 Brothers: Joe, John, Emery and Milton. Sister in-law: Eleanor Ripka, Brother in-laws; Leonard VanderJagt, Ray Gates and Lynn Blackmer.
Funeral Services for George will be conducted on Monday, January 16, 2017 at 1:00pm at the Throop Funeral Home of Ravenna. The family will be at the funeral home one hour prior to the service for visitation. Burial will follow at Ravenna Township Cemetery.
