George Rostar Jr.'s Obituary
George Rostar, Jr., age 93, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at his home. He was born on June 3, 1929 in Muskegon Heights, MI to George and Anna (Toth) Rostar, Sr. and was a life resident of the area. George served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a barber in the area for 57 years before retiring in 2012. George was a member of Grace Christian Reformed Church, and part of their Welcoming Committee. He was a great dad and wonderful grandfather. George took pride in his yard, while enjoying hunting and fishing. He was also a tremendous support to his nieces and nephews. In 1973, he married the former Frances Marie Alderson and she survives him along with two daughters, Kittye Harman, and Becky (Ernie) Johnston; five grandchildren, Keith (Sheila) Johnston, Kerry (Jeff) Westveld, Darren Wesley, Todd Wesley, and Chad (Michelle) Wesley; 13 great grandchildren, two brothers, Jim (Linda) Rostar and Ed (Linda) Rostar; and sister, Sister Carmen Rostar; along with many nieces and nephews. George was preceded in death by his parents, five siblings; and son-in-law, Bill Harman. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 10 AM Friday, May 26, 2023 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St. Norton Shores, MI 49444 (231) 798-1100.
