George Daniells Watson's Obituary
George Daniells Watson Sr. age 92, of Ravenna died, Saturday, September 29, 2012 at home surrounded by his loving family.
George was born on June 9, 1920 in Grand Rapids, MI to the late George B. and Mary (Daniels) Watson. He served in the United States Navy from 1940 until his discharge in 1946. George married Sarah (Pustai) Watson on October 2, 1948 and she preceded him in death in 2003.
He is survived by: 5 Sons: George (Theresa) Watson of Lowell, David (Carol) Watson of McBain, Douglas Watson of Ravenna, Dean (Louise) Watson of Germany and Duane (Laurie) Watson of Ravenna. 3 Daughters: Mary (Gordon) Schafer of Bellevue, Virginia (Eric) Cashion of N. Carolina and Catherine (Dean) Morse of Lake Odessa. 21 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.
Preceded by Parents, Wife: Sarah, 1 Son: Dennis and 3 Sisters: Marian, Dorothy and Gertrude.
Funeral Services for George D. Watson Sr. will be conducted on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 11:00am at the Ottawa Center Chapel 8991 Leonard Street Coopersville, MI 49404 with Pastor Bob Porterfield officiating. Burial will be in Ravenna Cemetery.
The family will be at the Throop Funeral Home of Ravenna on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm to greet friends and 1 hour prior to service on Wednesday.
Memorials may be directed to the Ottawa Center Chapel.
