Mr. George J. Zimonich's Obituary
Mr. George J. Zimonich, age 88, passed away Wednesday morning, March 13, 2013. He was born May 4, 1924 in Borculo, MI to Steven and Julia (Miller) Zimonich. George was a U.S. Army Veteran and was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. He worked for Dresser Industries for 37 years before retiring on May 30, 1986. George was also an excellent woodworker and craftsman. On September 15, 1951, he married the love of his life, Helen Ruzicka, and she preceded him in death on June 8, 2004. George loved his wife dearly, and missed her very much. SURVIVORS include his brother, Paul Zimonich of West Olive; special friends and neighbors, Ken and Roxann Woloszyk, Rick and Pam Schelhas. He was also preceded in death by his parents and 4 brothers. The FUNERAL LITURGY will be celebrated 10:00 Saturday, March 16, 2013, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Mark Bauer presiding. Entombment will take place in St. Mary’s Mausoleum. VISITATION will be from 6-8 PM Friday at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W.
