George J. Dorato's Obituary
Mr. George J. “Otto” Dorato, age 68, died Thursday morning, November 3, 2011 in Norton Shores. He was born April 10, 1943 to George and Helen (Cusack) Dorato, in Chicago, IL and has resided in the Muskegon area since 1952. Prior to retirement, George had been a patternmaker and then co- owner of Paragon Pattern and Manufacturing Co. He was a member of St. Francis deSales Church, Knights of Columbus, Viking Linne Lodge # 57 and of the Muskegon Elks. He loved playing golf, cards and working with his hands. On September 8, 1962 he married the former Lois M. Rushcamp and she preceded him in death on February 26, 2010. SURVIVORS include 2 children, Michelle Dorato of Indian Rocks Beach, FL and Michael (Amy) Dorato of Grand Rapids, MI; 4 grandchildren, Torin Clarke, Robert, Nicholas and Emily Dorato; 2 brothers, Richard (Lisa) Dorato of Walker, MI, Lawrence (Nancy) Dorato of Norton Shores and 1 sister, Kathleen Dorato of Muskegon; his mother-in-law, Selma Rushcamp of Muskegon and his sister-in-law, Paula Austin of Montague. The MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 11AM Monday at St. Francis deSales Church with the Rev. Philip P. Salmonowicz presiding. VISITATION with George’s family will be 2-4 & 6-8PM Sunday at The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 1547 W.
