George L. Ruthkoski's Obituary
Mr. George L. “Bubba” Ruthkoski, age 94 passed away early Saturday morning at the Poppen-Hospice House in Fruitport following a brief illness. George was born in Muskegon on December 9, 1913 to Anthony and Adolphia (Kulikowski) Rutkowski. He married the former Catherine E. Falk in Muskegon on June 27, 1940 and following 60 years of marriage, Catherine preceded him in death. George was a communicant of St. Michael’s the Archangel Catholic Church and was employed at American Coil Spring for 42 years, retiring in 1975. He was a member of: Muskegon Eagles; Polish Falcons and was a life member of the Muskegon Elks Lodge #274. George was an avid golfer and fisherman but his greatest joy following his retirement was attending his grandchildren’s participation in sports, choir and band events. He is survived by: two sons, Thomas G. (LuAnn) Ruthkoski of Norton Shores and George P. Ruthkoski of Muskegon; brother, Anthony (Ann) Rutkowski of Traverse City; 6 grandchildren, Traci, Jason, Andrew and Eric Ruthkoski, Leah Jo Monette and Jordan Bundt; one great-grandson, Carter Monette and son-in-law, Craig Bundt. Mr. Ruthkoski was also preceded in death by his: daughter, Mary Jo Bundt in 2002; three brothers, John, Chester and Arthur and three sisters, Josephine, Jean and Florence.
