George Michael Check's Obituary
Mr. George Michael Check (GMC), age 54, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2007. He was born February 23, 1953 in Uniontown, PA to George J. and Eleanor C. (Uhor) Check and lived in the Muskegon area most of his life. He worked over 20 years as a project engineer for Stanco Metal Products. George coached girls basketball at Muskegon Catholic Central High School for many years. He also participated in area recreational softball leagues. George enjoyed golfing, bowling, hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Muskegon Eagles Lodge. SURVIVORS include his long-time partner, Luann M. Kenrick and her children, Allison, Kenny, and Billy Kenrick; brothers and sisters, Richard (Vicki) Check, Bob Check, Carol Check, Debra (Rick) Versalle; surrogate son, Ricky Check; and special niece and nephews Kara, David, and Kyle. He was preceded in death by his parents. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held Noon Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., (231) 759-8565. VISITATION will be 5-8 PM Monday and one hour prior to the service.
