George R. Pauter's Obituary
Mr. George R. Pauter, age 81, died Friday, March 26, 2004 in Benton, MO. He was born on August 27, 1922 in Hudson, MI to Grover & Patience (Van Etten) Pauter, and had lived in the Muskegon area until December 1988 before moving to Tennessee. He had been a member of Eastwood Church of the Nazarene while in Muskegon. He had worked at S.D. Warren for 35 before retiring in 1988. On October 11, 1952, he married his wife of 51 years, the former Maxine Brace, and she preceded in death on November 19, 2003. SURVIVORS include 3 children, Louise (Donald) Shirey of North Muskegon, Dennis Pauter of Georgia, and David (Shirley) Pauter of Missouri; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Dan DeLong; and sister, Patience Williams. Mr. Pauter was also preceded in death by 3 grandchildren, Jennifer in 1973, Steven in 1986, Matthew in 1988; and 1 sister, Gladys Frantz. SERVICES will be 9 AM Wednesday at The Lakes Community Church of the Nazarene (2270 S. Mill Iron Rd) with Rev. Thomas A. Parks officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 2-4 & 6-8 PM Tuesday at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210. Burial will take place in Seaman Cemetery.
