George Washington Radel's Obituary
Mr. George Washington Radel, age 89, died Thursday afternoon, October 16, 2008, in Muskegon. He was born February 22, 1919 in Muskegon to John and Susan (Martin) Radel and had been a life resident of the area. George was a Disabled U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Ferry Memorial Reformed Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing and caring for his yard. On July 27, 1940 he married the former Grace O. Frazier and she survives him along with 2 children, Nancy Radel of Whitehall and Dennis (Dianna) Radel of Muskegon; 3 grandsons, Eric (Sue) Radel, David (Kiley) Radel and Bradley (Jacey) Radel and by 2 great-grandsons, Cameron and Caiden. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 11 AM Monday, October 20, 2008 at Ferry Memorial Reformed Church (8669 Old Channel Trail, Montague) with the Rev. Dick Klaver officiating. Burial will be in Oakhurst Cemetery, Whitehall. VISITATION with George’s family will be 2-4 & 6-8PM Sunday at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 737 Apple Avenue, Muskegon, MI 49442 (231-726-5210).MEMORIAL GIFTS to Ferry Memorial Reformed Church will be appreciated.
