Georgia Miskowiec's Obituary
Mrs. Georgia Miskowiec, age 91, died January 12, 2005 in Muskegon. The former Georgia DeWolfe was born on June 13, 1913 in Iowa City, Iowa. She was married to Frank Miskowiec, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Miskowiec owned and managed different restaurants in the Muskegon area, and retired from her last position as a buyer for Hackley Hospital where she worked for 10 years. She was the beloved mother of Betty (Steve) Plichta of Venice, FL, Ted (Roberta) Miskowiec of N. Muskegon, Judy Diaz of Chicago, IL. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Gregory; seven grandchildren, Lori Fitzgerald of Rockford, IL, Dr. Steve Plichta, Jr. of Anchorage, AL, Mike Plichta of Richmond, VA, Rachel Miskowiec, Elizabeth Miskowiec, both of New York City, Jennifer Buczkiewicz of New Cannan, CT, Rebecca Sandecki of Honolulu, HI, seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 7:00 PM Monday evening at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 1547 W. Sherman Blvd.,(231) 759-8565.
