Georgina A. Hartwell's Obituary
Georgina Ann Hartwell, age 77, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at her home in Muskegon, MI. Georgina with her husband, Henry, were members of St. Francis de Sales parish in Norton Shores where they were both a part of the choir. She lived her life in service of others through her work at the Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry, teaching ESL at St. Jeans, and making meals for Family Promise. She lived her life seeking the joy of the beach at Lake Michigan and dancing with her husband. She was born in Muskegon, MI on September 22, 1942 to Thorvel and Laurentia (Dion) White, who preceded her in death, as well as her brother, Bill White and sisters, Mary B. (Don) Young and Ruth (Wayne) Schmidt. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Henry Hartwell; son, Eric (DeeDee) Hartwell and their daughters, Regina, Rebecca (great-grandchildren, Dawson and Annistyn), and Kaylee; son, Thomas (Susan) Hartwell and their sons and daughter, Nathan (great-granddaughter Naveah), Trevor, and Isabella (Tyler Champion); daughter, Jennifer (Brad) Perkins and their children, Haley (Steph) Kaijala (great-grandchildren Jennifer and Rosalie), Mariah (Brendon) Welch, and Lawrence (Ja’kyra) Kimble (great-grandson Josiah); sister-in-law, Dorothy White; aunt, Therese LeMieux (godmother); and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Georgina’s life will be held at St. Francis de Sales church on Tuesday, November 5 at 11AM, with Fr. Charles Hall presiding. A visitation will be held on Monday, November 4 from 5-8PM at The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., Muskegon, MI, 49441 with a Scripture Rosary at 7PM, and one hour prior to the service, from 10-11AM.
