Mr. Gerald Albert Chapman's Obituary
Gerald Albert Chapman, age 69, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2015 after a long battle with cancer. Jerry was born on June 27, 1946 to Pete and Virginia Chapman. After high school Jerry enlisted in the US Marines and served his country proudly in Vietnam. He married the former Cindy Forester in 1976. Jerry was blessed with 6 children in his life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, being “up north,” motorcycles and a good western movie. Most important to Jerry was always his family and grandchildren. He was a kind, fun-loving, compassionate provider who will be deeply missed. Jerry is survived by his wife Cindy; children, Brandi, Britt, Bryan, Marci and Niki; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Bree; parents; and sister, Janet Wright. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 12 noon on Friday, August 28, 2015 at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., 231-759-8565. VISITATION will be held one hour prior to the start of the funeral at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Johnson Family Cancer Center.
