It was both an honor and a privilege to know Jerry! I especially enjoyed getting to know him better during the summer of 1986, when I was invited by William to spent the summer with the family in Spring Lake, Michigan. Jerry had a great sense of humor which he shared with everyone. One one occasion when learning to JetSki, Gerry and William and I made off across the lake and down the river. I was struggling to keep up because I just was learning how to ride the Kawasaki. I followed behind Jerry and behind William down the river, around the Bend, through some bulrushes and the next thing I know we had to duck to go under a bridge. We were going so fast, there is no time to slow down so I followed them underneath the bridge if I hadn’t of been paying attention, that bridge when I took my head off. Jerry just laughed the whole thing off. So that summer Jerry put me to work helping to teach people how to JetSki. I can say that without any hesitation or reservation, of the many jobs I’ve had throughout my working life and my professional career, teaching visitors to JetSki on Spring Lake was absolutely the Greatest job of my entire life. Thanks again Jerry! You’re already missed!💐🙏❤️
