Gerald W. "Jerry" Ferguson's Obituary
Gerald W. “Jerry” Ferguson, age 70, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2020. He was born on December 12, 1949 to Roland and Louise (Dyer) Ferguson in Muskegon, MI. Jerry served in the U.S. Navy from 1969 -1973 and then worked as a millwright for about 30 years at Millwright Local #1102. On April 13, 1974 he married the former Kathy Miel in Muskegon, MI. He had a strong faith and both he and Kathy were greeters at Life Change Church. His family meant the world to him; Jerry was a loving
husband, wonderful father and caring grandfather. He loved to laugh and joke around; he had a great sense of humor which will truly be missed by the many who knew him. A Celebration of Gerald’s Life will be held at a later date. He is survived by his wife, Kathy; 3 children, Stacy (Frank) Bujel, Jill Scott and Jeff (Nicole) Ferguson; 4 grandchildren, Christian Ferguson, Kennedy "Sarah" Scott, Allie Scott and Lauren Bujel; mother, Louise Ferguson; brother, Jay (Sue) Ferguson; sister, Nancy (John) Grant; and mother-in-law, Karen Miel. Memorial contributions in Gerald’s honor can be made direct to Life Change Church or The Muskegon Rescue Mission.
