Gerald "Jerry" Waldo's Obituary
Mr. Gerald O. “Jerry” Waldo, age 76, passed away Thursday, May 25. Jerry was born to Byron and Christine (Weber) Waldo on February 25, 1941 in Grand Rapids. A life-long resident of western Michigan, Jerry married the former Antje McClain (Brondyke) on August 23, 1991. Jerry worked in the printing industry for 45 years before retiring in 2002 and was a member of the Calvin Christian Reformed Church. He greatly enjoyed spending his time golfing, hunting, fishing, shooting pool and cheering for his favorite teams. He also liked spending time in his yard and feeding the birds that came to visit him. Jerry will be missed by his wife of 25 years, Antje; children, Scott (Lori), Robin (Ron) and Stephen; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; one brother, James Patrick; one sister, Janis (Randy) Lafferty; brother and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Cindy Brondyke and Tim and June Bultema; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bryon and Christine. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 1 at 11AM at Calvin Christian Reformed Church, 973 W Norton Ave, Muskegon, MI 49441. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 31 from 6-8PM at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S Harvey St. 231-798-1100 and 1 hour prior to the service at church.
