Gerald L. Jones' Obituary
Gerald L. Jones, age 93, of Fruitport passed away January 2, 2023, at home. He was born December 12, 1929, in Muskegon to Norvin and Violet (Williamson) Jones. On September 5, 1953, he married Marie Bolthouse and she preceded him in death October 13, 2020.
Gerald was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed bowling and golfing and was a caddy when he was younger at the Muskegon Country Club. Gerald was always active in his family’s life and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by six children: Stephen A. (Paula) Jones, Susan (Kent) Berglund, Scott A. (Debra) Jones, Shelley Jones, Shane Jones, Shawn (Chris Trevathan) Jones; 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth (Adele) Jones; sister, Sandra Carey. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Jones; and sister, Lois Jones.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 7, 2023, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey Street, Norton Shores, MI 49444. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Pine Hill Cemetery.
