Gerald Raymond Rust age 80, of Ravenna, MI died Monday, April 18, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Gerald was born on September 21, 1941 in Egelston Township, MI to the late Virgil and Eva (Heim) Rust. He married Sharon M. (Austin) Rust on October 21, 1961 in Ravenna, MI.
Gerald is survived by his wife of 60 years: Sharon M. Rust of Ravenna, Son: Scott A. Rust of Ravenna, Daughters: Becky L. (Gregg) Kolenic of Spring Lake, Brenda K. (Jim) Jacobs of N. Muskegon, 8 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren. Brothers: Robert Rust of San Antonio, TX, Charles (Cindy) Rust of Oregon. Sister: Pat (Tom) Boozer of Alabama and Karen Traudt of California.
Preceded in death by his parents, Sisters: Maxine Austin, Bonnie Horton, Lois Horton, Leah Cooper, Barbara Evans and Shirley Happeny.
Funeral Services for Gerald will be on conducted on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 11:00am at the Throop Funeral Home of Ravenna Inc. with Pastor Don VanSlyke officiating. Burial will be in Ravenna Township Cemetery.
The family will be at the funeral home on Friday, April 22, 2022 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm to received friends. Also 1 hour prior to services.
