Gerald Lee Weaver's Obituary
Mr. Gerald L. Weaver, age 68, passed away Tuesday afternoon, July 8, 2014, at Mercy Hospital. Jerry was born October 5, 1945 in Muskegon, and has resided in the Muskegon area all of his life. He had been a foundry worker for 37 years and then became a driver for CarQuest. He was a member of Calvin Christian Reformed Church; enjoyed bowling and golfing; but his greatest love was watching his kids and grandkids play sports. On June 28, 1969 he married the former Fran Rorye and she survives him along with two children, Michael (Chalie) Weaver of Fruitport and Michelle (Gary) White of Muskegon; 8 grandchildren, Courtney Jones (Ryan Spoelman), Trevor (Chelsea) Jones, Kaitlyn Weaver, Shelby Weaver, Cameron Weaver, Tristan White, Hunter White and Logan (Megan) Holland; 1 great-granddaughter, Lillianne Spoelman; 1 brother, Steven Weaver; 2 sisters, Beverly White of FL and Karen (David ) Locke of Muskegon and by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald C and Ella Mae Weaver. FUNERAL SERVICES will be held 11 AM Monday, July 14, 2014 at Calvin Christian Reformed Church with the Rev. John Rop officiating. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION with Jerry’s family will be 2-4 and 6-8PM Sunday at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc,6291 S. Harvey Street, Norton Shores, MI 49444 (231-798-1100). Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Muskegon Christian School or Western Michigan Christian High School.
