Gerald Lee Zissler's Obituary
Mr. Gerald Lee “Whitey” Zissler, age 84, passed away in Muskegon, Michigan on Saturday, February 24, 2024. He was born in Saginaw, Michigan on October 8, 1939 to Sanford and Estelle (Barst) Zissler. Gerald graduated from Muskegon High School, class of 1957, and remained a faithful Big Reds fan. He was employed as a driver by United Parcel Services for 32 years prior to his retirement. Gerald enjoyed playing sports in his younger years and remained an avid sports fan throughout his life. He was especially loyal to Michigan sports teams. Gerald also enjoyed woodworking. On August 24, 1963, Gerald married the former Nancy L. Snook in Muskegon and she survives him along with their children, Cheryl (Gonzalo) Llano and Greg (Jodi) Zissler; grandchildren, Kyle Llano, Ethan (Christina) Zissler, and Logan Zissler; brothers, Gary Zissler and Robert Zissler; sister, Gail (Lester) Appold; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Henry Zissler and Richard Zissler. According to his wishes, a PRIVATE graveside service will be held at Egelston Township Cemetery.
