Mrs. Geraldine J. Fulkrod's Obituary
Mrs. Geraldine J. Fulkrod, 91, passed away Saturday morning, August 16, 2014, in Muskegon. She was born June 25, 1923 to Jacob and Teresa (Burns) Medendorp in Muskegon, and was a lifelong resident. She had worked at Brunswick for many years before retiring, and was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. She also belonged to the VFW Post #3734 Auxiliary, enjoyed reading, knitting, and crocheting. On April 14, 1951 Geraldine married Frank W. Fulkrod, and he preceded her in death on June 30, 1994. SURVIVORS include her sister-in-law, Rosalie Medendorp of Muskegon; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her mother and father; her sister, Vivian Durda; her 2 brothers, Norman and Robert Medendorp. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be 11:00 AM Friday at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Entombment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery. VISITATION at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 737 Apple Ave., Muskegon, 49442, (231) 726-5210, will be from 6-8 PM Thursday, and 1 hour prior to the service at church.
