Geraldine Kay Hoagland's Obituary
Mrs. Geraldine Kay Hoagland, age 60, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2015. Geraldine was born January 21, 1955 to Gerald and Carrie (Fitzgerald) Sumerix in Muskegon. She was employed as an accountant at Ferguson Plumbing for 34 years until retiring in 2004. Geraldine was a member of the Fruitport Eagles and loved the outdoors. On June 18, 2010 she married Homer Hoagland and he survives her along with her parents, Gerald and Carrie Sumerix; stepchildren, Ronald Hoagland, Amber Hoagland, Laurie Hoagland, Monica Taylor, Rachel (David) Townsend and Brandi Hoagland; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews; her sisters, Rophena (Mike) Rau and Carol (Leo) Parker; brother, Gerald (Cheryl) Sumerix; sister-in-law, Sylvia VanderVelde; brothers-in-law, Marvin (Carmen) Hoagland, Garry (Cindy) Hoagland and Robert (JoAnn) Hoagland. She was preceded in death by her nephew, Little Gerald. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, December 31, 2015 at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave., 231 726-5210 with Pastor John H. Brown officiating. VISITATION will be 5—7 PM Wednesday and one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Egelston Township Cemetery
