Mrs. Geraldine "Gerry" Minor's Obituary
Mrs. Geraldine “Gerry” Sandra Minor, age 84, passed away Monday morning, March 13, 2017, at a local hospital. Geraldine was born August 14, 1932 in Des Arc, AR to Lloyd and Eula (Hobson) Jenkins. She has been in this area since 2006, coming back here from California, where she had been employed by Sears. Gerry had a strong Christian faith, loved cooking, country music, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her sons, Gerald Arnold and Gary (Pam) Arnold, all of Muskegon; grandchildren, April Rust, Nickolous (Emily) Wisniewski, and Angel Starr Arnold; great-grandchildren, Hailey and Caitlin Rust, Lailah Moore, Isobella, and Ashlynn Wisniewski; a sister, Nell Surgine of Forest City, AR; several niece and nephews; and a very special friend, Mary Beth. Gerry was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Minor; and several brothers and sisters. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at the Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave., 231-726-5210, with Pastor Frank Zenobia III officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service (10-11 AM). Burial will take place in Lakeside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, that the needy be served, Memorial Contributions may be made to Muskegon Apostolic Tabernacle, 1875 Hudson St., Muskegon, MI 49441.
