Geraldine "Geri" Veltman's Obituary
Mrs. Geraldine E. “Geri” Veltman, age 86, passed away Saturday evening, March 15, 2008 at her daughter’s home in Twin Lake. She was born November 6, 1921 to Henry and Myrtle (Stout) Schliewe in Muskegon Heights, and was a life resident of the Muskegon area. Geri was retired from Eberhard’s Grocery Store where she had worked for many years. She had a love of Hawaiian music which she also taught to others. She was married to the love of her life, Ernest “Ernie” Veltman on August 27, 1980, and he preceded her in death on May 20, 2000. SURVIVORS include 2 children, Craig Virgil Stowe (and very close friend Kevin P. Pirochta) of Grand Rapids, Sandra (Bill) Ellis of Twin Lake; 2 grandchildren, Jeffery Scott (special friend Marla Moore) Ellis, Mark Allen (Laura) Ellis; 2 great-grandchildren, David Anthony Ellis, Bradley Thomas Ellis; 1 sister, Barb (Al “Brub”) Rafferty of Muskegon; several nieces and nephews; 2 step-children, Sandra (Fred) Tascone of Norton Shores, Patricia (Tom) Mullinnex of Twin Lake. She was also preceded in death by the father of her children, Virgil C. Stowe; her parents, Henry and Myrtle Schliewe; 3 sisters, Thelma Sattory, Margaret Skodack, and Doris Christiansan.
