Geraldine K. Radzik's Obituary
Geraldine K. Radzik, age 86, of Grand Haven passed away Friday, April 22, 2011, at the Heartwood Lodge Hospice House in Spring Lake. She was born March 4, 1925, in Chicago, IL, to Alex and Eleanor (Pycz) Javors, and she married Alfred S. Radzik on May 8, 1948, in Chicago. He preceded her in death on July 25, 2005.
Geraldine attended St. Ann’s School of Nursing in Chicago. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, and she loved to paint, do needlework, and read.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughters; Susan (James) Leslie of Auburn Hills, MI, Judith Westra of Grand Haven, and Donna M. Radzik of Foxboro, Mass; a son, Theodore A. Radzik of Petersburg, IL; four grandchildren: Elizabeth (Troy) Ernzer of Spring Lake, Luke (Taryn) Westra of Chicago, Mae (Nathan) Scott of O’Fallon, IL, and Jennifer Radzik of Raleigh, NC; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Celestine Harmon of Chicago; and a brother, Richard (Charlotte) Javors of Chicago. She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred, a son, Andrew M. Radzik, and granddaughter Christina Leslie.
The service for Geraldine will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Grand Haven with Rev. Fr. William Langlois officiating. Friends may meet the family 6-8 p.m., with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26, at the VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven. Interment will be in Lake Forest Cemetery.
