Gertrude L. Hosko's Obituary
Mrs. Gertrude L. Hosko, age 84, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2018 in Norton Shores. She was born on April 5, 1933 in Petoskey, MI to Stephen and Mary (Popielewski) Miller. Gert was a cashier at Meijer and Eberhard’s Grocery Store for many years, before retiring in 2000. She enjoyed breeding and raising Yorkies, traveling to Las Vegas and Florida throughout the years. Gert belonged to the Eagles Auxiliary. On November 24, 1951, she married Julius Hosko Jr. He survives her along with five children, Carol Hosko, Norm (Sharon) Hosko, and Barb Doan all of Norton Shores, Julie (Leslie) Estler of Holton, and James Hosko of Fruitport; six grandchildren; sister, Theresa Ford; along with many nieces and nephews. Gert was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, George and Vincent Miller; sisters, Helen Foster, Martha Dobbin, Rose Miller, and Marie Allerding. MEMORIAL SERVICES will be 12 noon, Saturday, March 10, 2018 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100. VISITATION begins at 11 AM. Her burial will take place in Norton Cemetery.
