Gertrude K. Iverson's Obituary
Gertrude K. Iverson, age 96, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, November 6, 2020. She had been a resident of Royal Atrium in Zeeland, MI. Gertrude was born March 20, 1924 in Muskegon to John and Gertrude (VanMaastricht) Koster who immigrated to the US from The Netherlands. She lived most of her life in Muskegon and Port Charlotte, FL where she volunteered countless hours at the Port Charlotte Cultural Center having the 2nd most number of volunteer hours. In 1945, Gertrude married Donald Iverson in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on July 15, 1992. Survivors include 4 children, Donna Iverson, Douglas (MaryJo) Iverson, Dennis (Valerie) Iverson, Daniel (Laima Bultusis) Iverson; 3 grandchildren, Trisha (Jeff) Zylstra, Bradley (Lindsey) Iverson and Stephanie Wyman and 7 great-grandchildren. In keeping with Gertrude’s wishes, there will be no public service at this time. Burial will take place at Fruitland Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to the Hospice organization of your choice.
