Gertrude Skok's Obituary
Mrs. Gertrude Skok, age 93, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2007 in Muskegon. She was born April 4, 1914 to Jannes and Henderieka (Drenth) Tjapkes in Ellsworth, MI. Mrs. Skok was a charter member of Olivet Reformed Church. She was a person of great faith who enjoyed Christian music, Mondays with her sister, and especially the time she spent with her family. On November 24, 1937, she married Paul Skok, Sr. in Valparaiso, Indiana who preceded her in death on March 13, 1987. Mrs. Skok is survived by 3 children, Marcia (Jack) Anderson of Muskegon, Thomas (Dareen) Skok of Fruitport, Gayle (Stan) Price of Muskegon; 10 grandchildren, Jeff (Lynn) Skok, Leigh Ann Skok, David (Carol) Anderson, Shelley (Joe) Stienhauer, Julie Anderson, Lori (Rod) Eitniear, Lisa (Derek) Fricano, Matthew Price, Andrea (Mike) Quigg, and Gina Skok; 15 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and 1 special sister, Clara Teunis of Spring Lake. She is also survived by many special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Paul, Jr. in 2004 and 12 brothers and sisters.
